A Step By Step Guide To Competing With The BSFA.

We recommend that you trial your dog at least once before competing. If you have run your dog elsewhere and are happy that they will run, you can go straight into competing. Once your dog has run in competition they may not go back to trialling without good reason. Also please note that you cannot trial and compete a dog at the same meeting, although you may trial one dog and compete with another at the same meeting.

In order to compete you must be a member and your dogs must be registered with us. Both these tasks can be completed easily by contacting our membership secretary.

The details we require to complete your membership are:

First name
Last Name
Full Address
Contact telephone number(s)
Contact email address

If you wish to have a joint we will need the first and last names of the other member. Single and Joint memberships run out on January 1st each year. A life membership is also available.

To register your dog(s) we will need:

KC registered name
Call name (optional but does allow you to send entries without typing their registered name every time)
KC number
Date of birth

If you are able to pay directly into our bank account that is easiest for us. Our bank details are:

Barclays Bank
Sort code: 20-11-39
British Sighthound Field Association
Account number: 50599859

If you are unable to pay with online banking, let us know and we will find an alternative.
